Cards for a cause
8th Annual Bingo Bash for the Barbara Stone Foundation: A free, fun afternoon of Bingo, prizes and your chance to show your support for the Barbara Stone Foundation. All proceeds benefit the non-profit’s mission to create and support opportunities for individuals with disabilities -- and to celebrate the foundation’s Community Innovations Grant Spring Awards. May 4th 2:30-5:30pm at Magnetic South Brewery.

Walt’s Waltz Raffle Rouser, May 1-14: Walt's Waltz is a grassroots nonprofit that works to end the stigma surrounding mental health conditions. The annual Walt's Waltz Raffle Rouser for mental health education, advocacy and policy reform starts May 1st and runs through May 14th. The virtual fundraiser has raffle tickets for $5 or $10 each depending on the value of the item. Tickets are entries in individual drawings for prizes donated by renowned artists from the Upstate and across the country, as well as unique experiences and prizes from local businesses. A legacy of beauty
Lady Bird Johnson Exhibit at Upcountry History Museum: The museum’s newest exhibition is Beautification: The Environmental Legacy of Lady Bird Johnson. On loan from the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum at the University of Texas in Austin, the exhibition begins its national tour at the Upcountry History Museum, and includes letters, photographs, clothing and artifacts on display for the first time to the public. They give visitors more context to Johnson's education, family, campaign efforts, acumen as a businesswoman, leadership in environmental conservation, and role as a philanthropist.
