Bishkek, Nov.21, 2019 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's exports amounted to $1,356.5 million and increased by 11.7%, Deputy Minister of Economy Eldar Alisherov said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

According to his data, the volume of gold exports increased by 1.5 times, while the volume of foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials - by 27.5%, including meat products - by 2.8 times, dairy products - by 1.5 times, honey - 1.3 times, beans - 1.4 times, potatoes - 3.8 times, fruits and nuts - 1.3 times, coal - 1.4 times, cement - 37.5%, ore and concentrates - 11.4% and others.

“Exports to the EAEU countries amounted to $444.3 million and decreased by 3.6%, to the third countries - $912.2 million (up by 21.0%), to the CIS countries - $598.0 million (down by 5.4%), to the WTO countries - $1,221.7 million (up by 14.4%), to the EU-605.0 million (up by 1.3 times),” the deputy economy minister said.

He noted at the beginning of the year, Kazakhstan applied some restrictions to Kyrgyzstan and introduced enhanced border controls.

"There has been some decline in exports during this period, but we have held bilateral meetings and there are changes in this issue. Also, the decrease in exports is mainly due to a decrease in exports of light and textile products by 33.4%, of which clothing and accessories - 1.7 times, shoes - by 41.5%, as well as electric incandescent lamps - by 38%, various parts and accessories to vehicles - by 16%. But we see that production in the country is growing, and the decline in textile exports is associated with a decline in re-exports from China,” Alisherov added.
