Kyrgyzstan proposes Uzbekistan to create joint ventures

Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan proposed Uzbekistan to open joint ventures on the basis of 42 enterprises of Kyrgyzstan (which includes operating enterprises, inoperative ventures and enterprises for sale), Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, Artem Novikov said today during the meeting with Minister of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan in a narrow format.

Novikov stressed that among 42, there are 16 processing enterprises, 9 – on production of construction materials, 4 - on production of textile and clothing products, 3 – on production of paper and cardboard products, 4 – on mining and metallurgical industries, and 6 enterprises in other branches.

The Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan also suggested using the existing potential in the textile industry of two countries more actively, through creating joint enterprises for the production of sewing and knitted goods with the supply of cotton and synthetic spinning and cotton fabric from Uzbekistan.
