BLK (Beyond Limits Known) now has 50 percent Fijian ownership after the company went into receivership last December.

BLK director of commercial and marketing Liga Gukisuva said the company previously belonged to an Australian-based company.

He said the company was in partnership with an investor from East Timor.

“The people in Labasa can be proud to know that BLK has its roots from the Friendly North,” Mr Gukisuva said.

“For sports lovers, we have international representation in almost all sports in rugby league, volleyball, rugby, basketball, netball and all others sports in the world that BLK has relationships with.

“At the moment BLK’s presence in Labasa is to promote the international apparels to the people of the North.”

“With our Fiji ownership we want to be with communities,” he said.

“Instead people coming to us, we take our brand to the communities and villages alike.

We are developing new products which will be launched this year in July in the Northern Division.”

The BLK north team have visited rural communities in Savusavu, Buca Bay and Bua.

Mr Gukisuva said: “That with the Fijian ownership we can enjoy world class apparels at a very affordable price range and a visit to their retail shop in the heart of Labasa Town, one can see the many ranges of apparels which are worn by international teams and clubs.”

He said BLK apparels were for sportsmen and women and there were a number of innovative designs incorporated into their apparel.
